DIY Blouse

The fun in thriftin is not knowing what you will find. It's like a treasure hunt. So imagine my disappointment when i went hunting and couldn't find anything. I ended up in this woman's store and everything she had was just... i dont no.. ugly. However she kept begging me to just take something. It didn't help that her husband was begging me as well. So i took this very ugly skirt and as i made to leave i spotted this dress. Immediately i saw it i knew what i wanted to do with it. Of course i dropped the skirt.

So i cut off the bottom half,

and made me a new blouse.

I paired it with this vintage Alfred Dunner print skirt which i had also altered by cutting it shorter than its original length ( you can't see the whole of it but there isn't so much more left from where the photo ends). I'm not very tall so i can get away with wearing short anything.

Stripes and prints. You don't say! Well rules are meant to be broken. This worked for me so hey...lol

 Excuse the bathroom photos. :-)

Maju at LPM

Maju is like high street. Very affordable like tops for N3500 and all. They had so many gorgeous and trendy pieces plus they were on sale at this month's market so the stall was crowded like really crowded.

You know how you buy stuff and there's this one item you leave behind wondering should i or should i not. Oh well... after like 2mins it was taken and i was burnt! But i got stuff i really liked as well so in the end  i was still happy.

Some of these pictures i took with my camera and some with my cell phone so erm..... *clears throat*

Chiffon blouse with detachable faux pearl and metal necklace.

I got this combo. I really love the colours especially the skirt i also got another in electric blue. Excuse my cell phone camera. The colours are brighter on ground.

This bag... i had to have. Maju bags are gorgeous.

And these i put on hold.

The designer, Motunrayo Jimoh . See more Maju pieces here. You can also call them on +234-802-736-9104,  +234-805-580-2281

Le Petite Marche August Edition: Metal and Rock.

LPM  is a great place for bargains and awesome finds. There's always so much on display. You just wanna buy everything. My advice is to go with a friend who can wrestle your wallet from you make a list so you don't exceed your budget.  The most recent market held on sun 28th August and as usual the vendors did not disappoint.

First up is Metal and rock. They had amazing jewelery with lots of  metal and gorgeous ornaments, footwear bags etc. . I really like. I found the stall after spending all my money. I have a date with them next month.

Ediri of Metal and Rock. I love her printed pants and cropped top. Bang on trend!

Behind the scenes: Bridget Awoshika for Elite.

Hi lovelies,
As you may already know, i was part of the creative team for Elite. I also had to work on Maltina dance-all as well as the Clan Lookbook side by side. So for me, it was a week of hotel food, elevators, stairs, clothes, etc. I tried to take a lot of pictures but my camera died on me so many times, its a miracle i managed to get any photos at all. However I'll post all the pictures i can find in the coming week

Fab designer and graduate of Parsons, Bridget Awoshika closed the show at Elite and she did not disappoint. Here are photos from the fitting done earlier in the week.

Oiza Olayebi. Her walk is so fierce. I was actually rooting for her. I know i'm booking her someday soon.

She eventually wore this white dress and Eku Edewor wore the dress above to anchor the show

Satchel Love

I just recently fell in love with satchels. I'm mostly a shoulder tote girl but these are really nice. I'm looking to increase my collection. The 1st is from new look and the 2nd is thrifted and you need to see it in on ground. The leather is just divine! When the seller told me how much it cost.... i didn't even price it.

All i wanted to do was pay, run away with the bag and leave my change behind before she changed her mind. Lol.
